As a multi-site business, managing gas and electricity supplies is a job in itself. Add to that the need to constantly sort through energy prices that change by the day and you have major headache. Energycentric has taken all those problems away and also enabled us to keep our fuel costs within budget, at a time when prices are constantly increasing, through their market expertise and purchasing power.
Our relationship with Energycentric began in November 2010 following a recommendation we received from Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO). At that time Energycentric negotiated a new electricity contract for our 33 sites which delivered a significant saving on our electricity expenditure and also secured a programme of automated meter installation for most of our major sites. This additional feature of the contract will enable us to benefit from accurate monthly billing, removing the reliance on estimated meter readings and the budgetary implications that can cause on a contract of our size. The service we have received from Energycentric has been excellent. Our Account Manager, Helen O’Brien, has worked extremely hard to maintain regular dialogue between us and our energy suppliers, resulting in a partnership relationship between the three parties that we believe is unusual in these particular markets. We also receive additional support from one of Energycentric’s Directors, Paul Lomas, whose expertise in the energy markets has given us a valuable insight into the market forces and features that are relevant to us.
