Acevo

At Energycentric we have been lucky enough to have forged a strong strategic partnership with ACEVO, the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations, which has spanned a number of highly successful years. As well as an effective working relationship, we have also developed a personal and social one too, regularly attending the exceptional ACEVO Annual Conference event.

The event offers a fantastic opportunity for partners of ACEVO to network with charity leaders from across the UK, as well deliver an important narrative that focusses on the importance of the sector.

As one of ACEVO’s key partners, Energycentric have been able to secure a 20% discount on tickets for any of our clients who would like to attend the event, meaning that the event will cost you:

  • £156 if you are an ACEVO member based inside London
  • £132 if you are an ACEVO member based outside London
  • £216 if you are not currently a member of ACEVO

This year’s conference is named ‘Peril and Promise – Scaling the Challenges Ahead’, and will look at the opportunities and challenges charities face. The sector is dealing with an onslaught of bad press and an increasingly difficult financial climate, but ACEVO believes this can be a moment of great promise to.

The day will be packed full of interesting and engaging sessions, including Peter Kellner, media commentator and President of YouGov, who will tackle the critical question of maintaining public trust. The CEO of the Institute of Fundraising, Peter Lewis, will also engage with the issues that face us on fundraising.

The Charity Commission’s Chair William Shawcross and Lord Low of Dalston will be discussing the relationship between charities, the Commission and the public. While ACEVO will also share its bold new proposals for a new contract between Government and charities as Rob Owen, the co-Chair of the ‘Remaking the State’ commission, will unveil its findings and recommendations.

You will also have the chance to hear from Anna Turley MP, Shadow Minister for Civil Society who will be holding the closing keynote in a session chaired by Polly Toynbee, columnist for the Guardian and well known political commentator.

Lastly, and most importantly, you can even come and hear from Energycentric during the workshops!
